Bedale - Camp Hill Estate
FAQs

What is Aerial Extreme?
AE @ Camp Hill is a tree top trek through the canopy of a beautiful Oak Forest. It consists of series of fun obstacles and elements including bridges, scramble nets, zip wires, wobbly beams and walls.
Who can do it?
Almost anyone! Aerial Extreme is a huge hit with adults, children, families, individuals, groups, schools and companies. All you need is a willingness to try something new and exhilarating! Some restrictions do apply (see below).
Do I need to be fit or strong to take part?
The courses are physically challenging so you do need a degree of physical fitness in order to enjoy the course. Please also refer to the question below.
Are there any restrictions?
There are 3 types of restriction:
- Height – There is a minimum height restriction of 1.4m. In some cases consideration may also be given to age. Our experienced instructors on site have the right to refuse entry to anyone that they feel is not suitable for the activity in question.
- Weight – Our courses have a weight limit of 120Kg (19 stone)
- Medical – Participants must not have any medical conditions that might increase their chance of being involved in an incident, resulting in injury to themselves or others, e.g. heart condition, epilepsy, pregnancy etc…
Children under 16 years of age require a consenting signature from parent, guardian or party leader. They also require an adult to be participating or observing at all times. An adult may only supervise up to 3 children.
Is it safe?
All participants will receive a full safety briefing and instruction on how to negotiate the course elements. The course does consist of substantial and physically testing obstacles and there is a risk of minor injury (e.g. bruises and scrapes) when undertaking such activities.
I am afraid of heights!
Aerial Extreme has helped some people to conquer their fear of heights. Why not try it – you might surprise yourself. The course gets more challenging as you progress therefore helping to build your confidence.
What should I wear?
We recommend loose and comfortable clothing, with ankle supporting boots or trainers. For your comfort and safety, we recommend that long hair is tied back and that any jewellery that could get snagged is removed. Aerial Extreme does not provide any clothing so you need to dress appropriately for the weather conditions. No sandals, slip-on shoes or skirts can be worn on the course.
What if I fall?
Slips are quite common but don’t worry, that’s half the fun! If you lose your footing, then your safety lines attached to the course will prevent you from falling more than a foot or two, allowing you to regain your footing and continue.
How long does it take?
This varies dramatically depending on the difficulty of the course, your level of confidence, people in front of you and the number of people on the course. As a general guide however, we would recommend you allow 30 minutes to kit up and brief followed by2-3 hours for the extreme course.
What happens in bad weather?
We remain open in most weather conditions, but will close during lightening storms. In the unlikely event of the course being closed due to bad weather, we will rebook you for another day.
What if I cannot complete the whole course?
Instructors will always be on hand to help you if you have difficulty on any part of the course. Unfortunately no refunds are given if you fail to complete the course.
Can my son/daughter go round the course alone?
Yes, providing an adult (over 18 years) is in attendance. Children who are 16 and over are permitted to attend without parental supervision.
Do I need to book in advance?
