Ice hockey team hits new heights

27th September 2007

Swinging from trees is hardly where you would expect to find the stars of Milton Keynes Lightning Ice hockey team.

However that is where they were when palyer coach Nick Poole organised a team building exercise at Willen Lake based at Aerial Extreme.

They were put through their paces on a course which includes 40 feet climbing wall, high speed zip wires, giant spiders webs and balance beam.

For some, clearly more used to keeping their skates on the ice, it was a new experience, but others clearly enjoyed the day. Nick said afterwards: “ It was great fun. We had 10 or 12 of the locally based guys there and it was definitely worthwhile as a team building exercise giving the players chance to get to know each other better.”

Lightning’s new English Premier League season starts on 15th September when they host Guilford Flames in the cup at 7pm.
